On this day, a couple of art kids got together and performed at their very first gig as a musical group. People showed up. No one knew who they were or what they were gonna do, but soon after they became fans. Artistik Approach was born.

Four years later, those art kids are still together making music. Today, we celebrate the moments from our past journeys and toast to new beginnings of our future ones...

Thank you for being a part of our journey.

For all of those who have been waiting to hear more, Artistik Approach will be releasing new music coming this spring. This anticipated 5 song EP remains untitled, but it will be as genre bending as their last project "Instr-A-Mentals", which was completely a cappella. The ep will incorporate electronic elements, with avant-garde hip-hop and soul themes. Can you say musical evolution? Stay tuned for the official date of the release.

The Happening was a beautiful experience indeed. Those whom were there to witness what happened that night can attest to that. Performance, artistry, creativity, unity, and love are only a few words to describe the event. We could do our best to illustrate the details, but it wouldn't do what actually happened during those moments any justice. The following are pieces of documentation that have been provided from that night.

"A powerful performance will transform everyone in the room."
-Marina Abramovic

A response from a viewer:

"Unfortunately my son and daughter were playing over at the VCMS Stage so we missed the beginning, but the artistic side of the event was well presented. The space with its stark white walls were the perfect backdrop for the black light artwork and the black and white sayings/quotes on the wall which relayed the importance of creativity and the power of art. The tree, set up in the corner which seemed to carry a variety of meanings: Roots, life, restraint, death, family... hung over the violinists and poets (we did make it in to catch several spoken word performances) like a protective parent. Artistik Approach was gracious and welcoming to all of the constant stream of visitors pouring in and out of the event, which could have been a distraction but created a symbiotic union of listener and artist. The clusters of friends talking, hugging, sharing photos on phones, was a welcomed sight. I truly wish that I had visited the Artistik Approach events on other occasions because I can only imagine how powerful it is in a familiar setting without so many other projects pulling everyone in every direction. The Happening, what I was able to see, was an incredible experience that reminded me so much of my time hosting readings in California. I felt at home although I honestly didn't know many people at all."
